| Arcade Fire – Neighborhood #3 (Power Out) Lyrics | 14 years ago |

I love this song. It's so strong, intense. It sounds like they're swirling down into their own self-destruction, and then there are times of really sickly sweet heightened tension to maybe "avoid" the doom that is inevitable? I love how crazy the song gets at the end, like how the singer screams "Is it a dream, is it a lie? I think I'll let you decide Just light a candle for the kids Jesus Christ, don't keep it hid! Because nothing's hid, from us kids! You ain't fooling nobody with the lights out!" It's different from their other songs, has a less "indie" vibe, but still amazing. And I love the story. I really don't want this to do with God...no offence to anyone...but I just see lots of people relating songs and bands to god...a little annoying? eh. |

| The Birthday Massacre – Happy Birthday Lyrics | 16 years ago |

Well, I have no idea what the song means, but it got stuck in my head today for me wanting to escape in to some trance. It's sort of "airy", like it can almost carry you away....I just looked up the lyrics now because I wanted to put some in my aim status because I felt a certain someone needed to listen to it. Not really cause I wanted to kinda piss them off really, just cause I thought it should be shared. In my opinion, I think the lyrics and the way the lyrics are written sort of put me off, but in a good, powered weay, like, when I first saw them, I was like, "woah....this song is even better then i expected" So yeah. maybe I don't really understand them, but they've definately got a different feeling to them, very deep. I do think it's about murder. But the song is like...peaceful murder. Strange. I just hope this song doesn't have some video, I hate it when I get a feeling from a song and I see the video and it's all staged and it doesn't seem to just fit and I'm like "yeah....this just killed it" |

I guess the song is kinda self-explanatory... but yeah I do agree, what kinds of kids would actually tease like that? It makes me sick they don't even stop to think about what they're doing. -.- |

Oh gosh... I just love this song. Love it. I'm sure I'm going to grow up with this song in my head telling me to actually live my adult life right so it'll make me happy instead of practically living in a dumb cubicle all my life. |

| Kill Hannah – Welcome To Chicago Motherfucker Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
"I don't know, I just want a recording of him saying "fuck" over and over again." Rofl, that was friggin hilarious. xD I have to agree with you there... Anywayy...yeah. The song is basically about living life hard, you know, making the the best out of it. When I first heard this song I was all "WOOOOAHHHH MATT YOU BETTER WATCH YOUR MOUTH MORE OFTEN"...a little bit louder and more different from their other songs but I'm telling you right now, this song OWNS. |

| Kill Hannah – Scream Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Yes, I'm guessing is a pretty straight-forward song about this couple and how they broke up, but you never know...it could mean much more. "I carved your name into my arm So I would remember you" Favorite lyrics, this just adds to the deepness to the love he feels for the girl...I don't think it's just a figure of speech, though, I think he actually is depressed enough about the break-up to actually carve her name in to his wrist, it seems to suit the mood of the song perfectly. Awesome song. Awesome band. They are a little bit quiet for my tastes, but I don't care, they're still one of my favorites. |

| Hawthorne Heights – Corps of Corpses Lyrics | 17 years ago |

At least I get second comment, lol. I guess it's about someone who's obsessed with this hardcore badass girl? Or maybe someone who's obsessed with this unbelieveably(sp?) beautiful girl, but this girl is evil, and uses people to get what she wants and ends up changing them because they're so distracted by her beauty and they don't realize that she's practically brainwashing them to get them to turn in to something that they are definately not and someone who they don't even recognize...which would explain this: "No more ghosts or memories to hold me back A fresh start is all I have ever asked I watch my body slowly turn from blue to black And on and on and on Some times it hurts the most to be who you are You can change your mind, you can't change your heart To find the end you gotta know where to start And on and on and on" Yeahhhh. By the way, does this song remind anyone of the song "Falling Down" by Atreyu? Awesome song, anyhow. |

| Alexisonfire – White Devil Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
At first I thought this song was about "mixing good with bad" because devils are basically supposed to be evil, I guess, and angels are supposed to be happy and helpful, and the stereotyped angel wears the white cloak and all, so it's like mixing them together to make a "white devil"? I know this isn't what it means, but I think I was drawing or thinking or something when I thought about this, and only the words "white devil" really caught my ear and before that I also heard "look what you have begun" instead of "Look what you have become" so I thought about the word Bipolar and someone mixing being depressed AND overly happy and how it can be worse then just depression (which is what the devil stands for, and also being overly happy can be a really bad thing in my opinion) And so...yeah, basically, you know, mixing a good angel and a bad devil together? (By the way, in case you're thinking "So what, the devil is just evil, doesn't mean he's depressed...how would he stand for depressiom?" Well I guess sometimes if your depressed you think really bad thoughts and if you're happy you think positive thoughts....So yeah...-catches breath-....I kind of hope you get my point there... I think this song has awesome lyrics, and count whatever your username is, why can't you just say that you just really don't like the lyrics and they could have done better? And besides, didn't you say you liked them in the beginning? What kind of ex-fan are you? I don't get people here... |

| AFI – I Wanna Mohawk (But Mom Won't Let Me Get One) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| This song reminds me of this little boy me and my older sister saw in Hawaii who had like, a mini mohawk, and his collar propped up. xD I don't have the slightest problem when I see kids like this (after all, I'm just almost 12, and it's pretty cool to see them rebel against what everyone else thinks if that's what they belive in) but if I see they're really popular and give in to the popularity it just pisses me off because it shouldn't be a reason to be "in". | |
| Panic! at the Disco – This Is Halloween Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| ROFL, I started laughing at the beginning. xD The song isn't really good in my opinion...It doesn't want to make you dance or tap your foot or ANYTHING. Also it's a little TOO quiet. Overall I just don't think a band like P!ATD should have done a song like this... | |
| Avenged Sevenfold – Seize The Day Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I don’t really agree that the song is just about losing someone you love. Yes, that can be a situation that connects to the song…but if you look at in general, I think it’s about needing to savior every happy moment you get and everything great that you have and don’t take advantage of it. “Seize the day or die regretting the time you lost It's empty and cold without you here, too many people to ache over” Take me for an example. I always act like whatever I have, it’s nothing. I’ve always wanted more, but suddenly after listening to this song so many times I realize I’m not going to get everything I want, and no one else is. The song is telling you not to take stupid risks with things or people that you know make you happy, or else you’ll regret it, and you’ll probably have a very hard time with it. In the video, everyone but Matt in A7X comes up to Matt’s door to his house and they were probably saying something like, “Hey Matt, let’s go and rob the supermarket”. His girlfriend/wife hears this and really does not want him to, but he does it anyway, which would be his stupid risk. And the risk puts Matt in a very, very bad place (both mentally and maybe even physically, I guess…and if you’re wondering what that physical place is, it’s prison). Then his girlfriend/wife gets killed in a car crash, and at that point, Matt probably starts to breaks down, then probably starts blaming it on himself, because he was the one who started the chain of actions. Now you see that Matt has an even worse situation on his hands. Being in jail and having his girlfriend/wife killed, he starts to really, really regret not being thankful when he used to be “happy”. …And that’s when the song ends, I guess. Long story short, don’t take things for granted, and live you’re life to the fullest. Of course, this is only my opinion about what the song means, though. Who knows? It can actually mean something entirely different. It’s a pretty sad song, and a really really good one at that, anyway. The video is awesome too. Definitely my favorite single. I wouldn’t wonder why a lot of people would love it. ^^ |

| The Academy Is... – We've Got a Big Mess on Our Hands Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
From all the meanings I've read, doesn't what the song mean quite make sense when you think about them all together and in general? (discluding the uh...naughty one...even if that did make me laugh xD) There's so many small differences in these meanings yet they all seem to mean the same thing, and yet they're still different when you dig really deep... and it's like what William is trying to say is that, "this is what's happening in my head, extreme confusion...why can't things be like they were before?" And also it may refer to his bipolar illness, because a few times his moods change drastically, or so it may seem to others. Inside a box, cut out the top to let some light shine in (wanting happiness. badly. if you think the light resembles happiness) and a second later, he sings... To remind me of what I've done and where I've been" (remembering where the happiness he once had led him to. Destruction) So he starts self-destructing, if that even is a word. And he does things he knows he's going to regret in the future, but still can't help it, because now bad william has taken over his body and it seems like bad william only cares about is revealing his pain in a very, very bad way. And then good william comes after awhile. And it continues, and then he has another 'big big big mess" on his hands-and it just goes in circles and circles, and the whole he really doesn't know how it started, and to him, he can't be sure which one he should be-so he just ignores everyone for awhile to see if it gets better. And I'm sure you all know he is left-handed, and left-hands rather tend to have bad luck-and whatever he does, good or bad or anything else, just always creates more problems and bad luck for himself. Yeah. And in the end, he finally realizes that it wasn't a big deal-he was overreacting, it was all in his head, and he was too stressed about something that might have just started it all (or maybe that's just how his brain works, I don't know) Anyway, sorry if I got some of you confused. It really is a hard song to work out. But it really does make an awesome song and video and even without the video it still rocks. What can I say? Maybe the song has many many different meanings to it. |

42? The meaning of life? Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy? This only has 2 pages of comments? OooooOOooo...so confusing. xD |

| Misfits – Astro Zombies Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I think The Misfits and MCR BOTH have great versions. However I bet some of you just don't like MCR because they're overrated or something and they get too much attention. Overrated bands can still be good, it doesn't matter how many fans, untrue ot true. And MCR emo? No. | |
| Kill Hannah – The Songs That Saved My Life Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This is my favorite Kill Hannah song at the moment...you can really relate to it. I think that it means everyone has at least one song that they listen to that makes them feel really good, really powerful, when they're in a bad mood, and it just makes their day. Listening to lots of your favorite music may help you through a tough time but I think those few certain songs are the ones that "really save your life." | |
| Aiden – We Sleep Forever Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Is it me or does it sorta sound like when Wil sings "We sleep forever" you hear "Wil sleeps forever"? D= Okay that was pretty saddening... o-o Anyway, yes, it is about cutting! I know Aiden makes a lot of songs about suicide...but whether or not singles, their songs are still extremely good. |

| The All-American Rejects – Straitjacket Feeling Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Bascially pretty obvious. He broke up with a girl and had a tough time dealing with it. However he was ready to "move on" in this song, unlike yesterday, which was "hell". However I don't think madness would be caused by a simple relationship. Well, okay, it really only did say "straitjacket" (By the way, THAT'S REALLY HOW IT'S SPELLED) but...still. However, this song still rocks. =D | |
| The Murderdolls – Love At First Fright Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Haha yeah. I hate most of those other gushy love songs. This one rocks though. (; | |
| The Murderdolls – I Take Drugs Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I agree! They aren't serious about it. It's just a fun song. Imagine if they were serious, that would be the real problem. And drugs are bad, anyway. | |
| The Murderdolls – Dead In Hollywood Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This song has pretty much no deep meaning, it's just a fun song to listen to...hehe, Murderdolls own...(= | |
