| I'm a futon-revolutionist! I believe it's a reference to the term 'Armchair Politics' whereby a person will give his views on something without doing anything about it. Same thing applies here maybe? | |

Two points: 1. I think he sings 'Won't go through it all again' on the second chorus(?) as opposed to 'I'll go through it all again'. 2. I love the way he says that 'The visions that I see believe in me'. It makes it seem as though he's that much more adamant he sees these things and truly believes it. I'm not sure whether it makes me sad or inspired. I suppose it depends on which way you look at it doesn't it? |

| The Weakerthans – Elegy for Gump Worsley Lyrics | 18 years ago |

Plympton is possibly referring to the infamous animator Bill Plympton (recognised by most for his numerous short animations). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Plympton I think this because of the similarity of the objects thrown to those you'd find in standard cartoon violence. The objects mentioned here are probably frequently used in Bill's imaginative short animations. Does anyone know of another Plympton, possibly related to hockey or Gump Worsley? I looked on Gump's wiki page and found nothing so I think this is well founded. |
