Jeff Buckley – Dido's Lament Lyrics 16 years ago
Amazing performance, but why hasn't it been released yet? I listened to this and it made me want to hear other versions of the song.

I think it would be cool if sony released an album of Jeff's covers with this on it plus his versions of Smiths, Morrissey, Leonard Cohen songs. Jeff's musical tastes are so diverse and its a cool way to get kids into music that they perhaps havent heard off before.

His voice is amazing. The simple lyrics really go nicely with the soothing piano. A perfect track to play in the dark.

John Frusciante – Someone's Lyrics 16 years ago
Love the line 'I'm so happy and sad'. John uses oxymorons in so many of his songs, 'death before life' 'Icicles are flames in the city' 'being wrong meant being right'...stuff like that... but these lyrics make sense somewhere in the back of your mind when john says them.

A very positive song. Like Sherlock H says he seems so much more optimistic now and happier, and its really nice to see him like this.

The Smiths – Unhappy Birthday Lyrics 16 years ago
In an album that has quite a few references to Oscar Wilde, this song reminds me of the behaviour of Lord Alfred 'Bosie' Douglas who left offensive cards for Oscar to open whenever they fell out. He did once on Oscars birthday too.

Not saying this is about Bosie and Wilde but it sums up Bosies petulent mood.
