Lacuna Coil – Veins Of Glass Lyrics 18 years ago
This song is about feeling guilt for doing something terrible and having to live with it and wishing you could just let it go and be happy.

One of Lacuna Coil's best!!

A Perfect Circle – 3 Libras Lyrics 18 years ago
This song is about nine people that screwed Maynard over in his life.

At first he is talking about giving his love to someone and it being taken advantage of and he knows that they have done it a million times and should have expected it, but thought it would be different. But, when he looks at them he sees that what they did to him has always been done to them and try are incapable of feeling remorse about what happened. In this he realizes that they never really saw him the way he saw them and they could never love him back.

Don't know which of the nine (or how many of the nine) this song is about. I just remember on an interview Maynard expressing the general gist of the song. which is the first APC song I ever heard and is still one of my favorites!!

Lacuna Coil – 1:19 Lyrics 18 years ago
The entire way this song is put together i think is absolutely amazing and really shows Lacuna Coil as a talented band.

What i get from the lyrics is that that there are things that make them hold themselves back justified with fear and self-loathing. But, even though they feel they can't handle the changes making them confront their fear(s), they have to. This is a song about the feelings that go with fear when you placed infront of a spotlight- you have to appear one way but inside you are terrified and "a loser". I have no doubt this song is ultimately about stagefright.- but the lyrics are beautifully written and very visual. Truely an immortal work from this amazing band!

Radiohead – Let Down Lyrics 18 years ago
This is a song that makes me feel very nostalgic.

What i get from listening to this (freakin amazing) song is that he is sitting at a bar watching everyone's disappointed and bored looks on their faces thinking back on their days as he is trying to amuse himself by imagining them at first hanging holding onto nothing but their beer bottles and the more they try to hold on the more the emptiness and disapointment make them helpless. The feeling of helplessness is carried over into into another metaphor of a crushed bug and how for a moment it twitches struggling to escape even though their death is certain. In the same line he relates to the bug with thoughts of wanting to grow wings and fly away, but pushes the thought aside and with the line "hysterical and useless" is what he decides about the hope of ever growing wings (which is also another metaphor for wanting to escape his disappointment). The next line (which is my favorite) illustrates that he acknowledges that they all feel the same- "You know where you are with" and they are all going through the same helplessness and hopeless goals (growing wings) but in the end they will always be let down.

This is by far one of my favorite Radiohead songs and in my opinion if you ever wanted to get someone to start falling in love with this band- this is the song to play for them.
