This song makes me think of someone controling the other just to cause them harm and then use them. "I defend you, cause you know what to do" maybe refers to him defending her just to get his barbs that much deeper, creating the illusion that he cares. Then he goes to talk about how she runs around in circles, well 'breathing in circles' the constant hating him and trying to rebel, but then comes crawling back, over and over again. "Breaking in peices it wont ever die" No matter how much she falls apart she clings to him. The love she has for him will never die. Him talking about moving slowly is the patience needed for such an act. Waiting untill time is probably for whatever goal he has planned, whatever he wants to.. use her for. Well anyways, I think it's about total control over someone, tormenting them and having them not being able to leave. Basicly making them a puppet. Leading her down to her knees, baring dirty 'needs' breeding dirty seeds. |

There has to be a lot more to it than just the Siren and the tribe. What do they have in common, should be the question now. That's what I am trying to figure out. They are not just lumped into one song for no reason. Yeah some people above quoted lines, and they fit the Siren, but what about all the others? I doubt they were put there just as 'fillers'. "Animal whisperings Intoxicate the night" Perhaps has something to do with the animal spirits of the ritual? I read the tribe believes all cattle was given to their people by the Rain God, Ngai, so perhaps that may be where the 'Sky' in Blood, Milk and Sky fits in, and also what he is referring to when he mentions rain, perhaps. I'm not sure. It's going to be a hard song to fully understand. The Siren does play a large role in the lyrics, I just dont know how it fits in with the Tribe. Perhaps it is someone from the tribe being called by the Siren, during the ritual. |

Hm this is just a theory with this song, not really saying it's the only meaning it could have. In the beginning he's talking about the shadow of the setting sun. Perhaps that implies a surrounding 'darkness' and a fading light with someone he loved or maybe a fading light around two people. In that darkness something looked so beautiful, that beautiful thing being christianity. He couldnt resist it's tender kiss, meaning christianity promised a lot to him in his time of darkness. As for him saying 'you had your time to live, you had so much to give, christfuck" could be him losing his faith, saying it had its chance to give what it promised, but failed and now he damns it. So then he talks about getting 'us' through this, meaning he will get them through the dark times. Instead of relying on faith. As for the voice clip in this song, maybe she is resisting, and in the end she will thank him when everything is better, since the light in his actions are surrounded by the darkness. Well that sums it up.. This is really just something I was thinking about, more to keep myself entertained, thought I'd share it. |

| I think this song is talking about a clique of people, though it kinda applies to more than one group of people these days. It's about people who are too materialistic, who care more about being something rather than accepting themselves for who they are. It's about a future of greed. "everything must go" almost like a sale. Soon there will be nothing without a price. Perhaps he was trying to send a message to us, not just a group. As for it being "all in your head", it is. It's what's important as long as you think that's what is important. | |
