The meaning is subtle, but I pretty much think it's about an electrician who's been confused for another man with a price on his head. Essentially there are mercenaries who've confused him for the bounty and they give chase until the electrician leads them to a generator in which he uses his own blood to conduct electricity from an outlet to the hunters.

I think this song is all about shedding all of what evolution has given us and going back to our most primal of roots.
Or one could look at it from a Freudian point of view and see it as a longing to return to the womb. |

Heh, for all you claiming that the Rose of Sharon line in the bible refers to Jesus, take a look at which part of the bible Song of Solomon is in. Spoilers: Jesus wasn't born until long after Solomon, about 900 or so years. The line is said by a woman who was probably one of Solomon's brides.
That being said, this song kicks ass and with such powerful yet open ended lyrics it makes sense why so many people draw so many different conclusions from it. |
