I agree this song can mean a lot of things. I do believe that she wrote it as just a cute, loving your boyfriend, song but its fun to think of it in different ways. How about taking the title as some good wine? Once she drinks she starts to feel it affect her body, tingling her insides from head to toe, making her smile giddy. The wine is her escape "makes her feel safe" "I've been asleep for a while now you tuck me in just like a child now cause every time you hold me in your arms I'm comfortable enough to feel your warmth" the wine puts her to sleep quickly like she was when she was a child.. shes feeling the warmth in her body the wine has brought her. then at the end there is a realization, that it makes her smile, "just for a while" because it will wear off eventually.. Not that I think that is what she meant at all, but just another way to look at it! |
