Wow, Shinedown's first piano ballad is stunning.

Shinedown – Breaking Inside Lyrics 16 years ago
Yeah this song is definitely about a person who wants to forgive and forget the past because he/she wants to move on and live life to the fullest. This is a very inspirational song. It shows that even when you're at your lowest of lows that you can still escape from the shadows and move on.

Shinedown – Devour Lyrics 16 years ago
Its pretty obvious that this song is geared towards politics and although it may seem "simple and generic" it speaks volumes. Shinedown has always been concerned about the war and has played in Iraq for the troops. This song, being released as a single to promote the album, was a real catch. It made people go "Is that really Shinedown?" and listen even more. I think this song is killer.

Shinedown – The Crow And The Butterfly Lyrics 16 years ago
Brent is so powerful in this song that it just makes me tear up every time. This is probably my favorite song out of the entire album, but all of their new ballads are absolutely stunning! I love how much more poetic this album is compared to the previous two. I'm seeing them live July 13th!

Shinedown – Cyanide Sweet Tooth Suicide Lyrics 16 years ago
When I got my Limited Edition Fan Club album in the mail the day before release I saw this song title and I thought... "Wow, this might be the only bad song ever written by Shinedown" simply because the title (and the content) is so incredibly clichè... I listened to the song and I lightened up a bit. I still hate the title, but the song isn't that bad. I'm still one of their biggest fans.

Shinedown – The Dream Lyrics 16 years ago
I don't think anyone should look at this track as a song, because its not... Its poetry. Even though lyrics and poetry are closely related they can still have very different meanings.

This poem's imagery is amazing and is very fantasy-based. Its describing the setting of this dream world, where the trees are toys, people are plastic dolls, and the dirt isn't really "dirty," its described as joy.

According to this poem, when you think you've found the right path, its just an illusion of reality, and your life really never ends. Once you've decided that you want to give up on everything, you realize that this life is just a dream.

Shinedown – One (U2 cover) Lyrics 16 years ago
This is probably one of my favorite songs by Shinedown, even though it is a cover. The lyrics are so powerful and amazing it brings tears to my eyes.

Leaves' Eyes – Secret Lyrics 16 years ago
Actually, I believe this song is referring to her relationship with a man. He's somehow holding her down from her full potential in life and she wants to get away from it all. In the line "tell me where did she drown" is really another way of saying "tell me where I lost myself in my own sorrow."

U2 – One Lyrics 16 years ago
As a band, I don't really like U2. What made me fall in love with this song, though, was Shinedown's cover of it. Brent Smith is amazing in every way possible.
