Red Hot Chili Peppers – Under the Bridge Lyrics 18 years ago
under_the_bridge619, it's more likely about heroin - "Under the bridge downtown is where I drew some blood" in reference to how someone shoots up.

Oingo Boingo – Only A Lad Lyrics 18 years ago
This song sounded so familiar when I was playing it on Guitar Hero, and at first I thought, "This song sucks."

I hate that mentality that people like this are totally blameless for their crimes.

But of course you find out at the end where the singer stands, so it's all good :) Good thing, too - I love the sound.

Aerosmith – Amazing Lyrics 18 years ago
This is a very uplifting song from a band we know has seen it all and STILL persevered. I've never seen a band bounce back as well as they have. 30 years together and still going strong, despite all the infighting, drugs, and illness.

Harry Chapin – Cat's in the Cradle Lyrics 18 years ago
This song almost brings me to tears every time I actually take the time to listen to it. It paints a picture of the vicious cycle to which our society has succumbed. The sacrifices you make to provide for your family rob you of the time you could be spending with them.

Black Sabbath – War Pigs Lyrics 18 years ago
j2f125 - pretty spot on.

Why are people making this in reference to Iraq? This song is from the 70s! Come on...

Even if you support a war effort, the lyrics that state how politicians leave the work to the poor is pretty inarguable. What happened to the days when the nation's leaders fought alongside the soldiers. Why is the president called the "Commander-In-Chief" anymore? Makes no sense.

The Police – Synchronicity II Lyrics 18 years ago
I can't really see the synchronicity between the monster and the dad, as they have different motives for violence. To me this song is just a chilling warning that even the most seemingly harmless and vacant have their breaking point.
