| Drop Dead, Gorgeous – Donner Party of Five Lyrics | 18 years ago |

Well, first of all, this whole thing about Saylor Lake is a fictional story that Danny Stillman, the lead singer of the band, created. And according to all the articles I read, the rest of the band got super into the idea and created the whole story line. And its the fans job to use the lyrics, and their website www.worsethanafairytale.com, to figure out the mystery of who the killer is. This website and the songs are like clues. Well, since I have been a dedicated fan for two years, I've analyzed like EVERY song. Haha. And I have this theory that the killer is a vampire. I can't find too much direct refernce to my theory in this one. But it does say "I walked in search for 18 years and died for nothing." So he's dead. It could, however, mean emotionally dead. But I don't know. Check my comments on other songs to see why I have this theory. |

Well, since I have been a dedicated fan for two years, I've analyzed like EVERY song. Haha. And I have this theory that the killer is a vampire. Why did God make glass to be shattered? To hold, and to cut? Your crooked cross covers your eyes. --Vampires can't be touched by anything holy, expecially crosses, itll burn them. Forgot my name. Forgot where I came from. I died getting here, Make me gold, I'm waiting. - He says hes dead. Call me the Dark Angel. (Don't touch me, Don't trust me) Please don't scare. (Please keep your hands away from me.) --She's holy obviously. If that cross, or any other holy thing about her touches him, it will hurt him. He's scared as hell here. Ahah, I'm silly :] Anyway, check other songs to see why I have this theory. |

Well, since I have been a dedicated fan for two years, I've analyzed like EVERY song. Haha. And I have this theory that the killer is a vampire. This one, to me, is about him finally getting his revenge on the girl who burdened him the most. The girl who turned him into one. She slept with him, then bit him. "I would do for you what you did to me, even kill, But to you I am just a mirror. Well sometimes mirrors shatter. The shrapnel becomes deadly. It surrounds you with no escape and you can't save her. You can't save her." Yes, he says he can't save her, because shes ALREADY a vampire. And the other girls, he saved them because by using other tactics to kill them to get their blood, he never bit their necks. Because if he did, they would all become killers. And the whole town would be on a killing spree. So really he was saving them all. Notice how after this killing, he stops. Because I don't think he could let himself rest in peace until he knew the vampire was dead. "Like a ghost, you slept in my bed. And I fell while you tore through my neck. When I awoke, you were already dead. Those eyes, I'll never forget." Well, she tore through his neck, right? Wouldn't that kill him? But no, he awoke. And she was dead. This is refernce to the night he turned into the vampire. "Make your move, take your time. Every pawn threatens your life. Go raise hell, come up short. No mercy is granted here. Best come clean, kill your stride. Keep your head, cleanse your life." ...Well, this woman is obviously killing too. Death is upon all of us. It comes in the shape of an angel. --I think he's talking about her. She is the death of the town. She kills. And she's probably like an angel - seems innocent, gorgeous, intriguing. Amazing. My theory is obvsiouly really insane. And no, I'm not even into vampires or anything. But this all seemed right to me. |

Well, since I have been a dedicated fan for two years, I've analyzed like EVERY song. Haha. I have this theory that the killer is a vampire. "They call me Jesse James and I own the night life. I drift from town to town across the nation. Praise the lord, lock and load boys. We go down, we go down, we go down together." First of all, he owns the night life. Obviously vampires only come out at night. Yes, I understand serial killers usually do too, but if you read my other ideas about this on other songs, then you might understand. And he's using his new found power to get revenge on all the girls that have done him wrong in his life. "Go tell this town I've built them all their coffins. As for this face, best it be forgotten. Hells on it's way, no one's gonna stop it. I wear this suit, on one's gonna top me. " It just seems fishy. But if he is a vampire, then who bit him? Find out my theory by reading my comment on the last song: "I Want to Master Life and Death". |

All songs on this album is from the killers point of view. And I have this theory that the killer is a vampire. In this song, he's scared because everyones fleeing Saylor Lake out of fear. And "Lie awake until the stomach settles. Just one taste will make it all feel better"...exactly. This is JUST a theory though. They haven't revealed who the real killer is. Check on other songs from this album for my comments, and see why I think this. Haha :] | |
