okay, i have to admit.. since i posted my last comment, i've listened to the CD a billion times... i really do like it but i guess it just doesn't feel the same. great band, great music, great lyrics but i'm the kind of person that doesn't like change but once i get used to it, i really like it. i was just super disappointed because i had been waiting and waiting and waiting for the new CD and for my birthday to come (which just happened to be the day previous to my original post) that it was just a little disappointing to hear, for instance, Lead Sails (And a Paper Anchor) and hear this country twang. my eyes went so wide and i showed my friend wh also really liked Atreyu (but not as much as me, lol) and her reaction was "what the fuck?!" but after listenning to it more, i've come to realise that bands do change, some for the good and some for the bad but i guess you have to get used to it... P.S. Vaega what you wrote REALLY pissed me off.. i have been a huge fan for a long time but it doesn't mean that you can't be a little disappointed or whatever... it's like that time of your life when friends start to change in high school, some wanting to go into the party seen and stuff but you think it's just stupid and then you start to get more into and and then you understand and like it... that's how i feel about it.. i don't care if you bash me or whatever... that was a pretty dorky analogy but yeah, i'll just shut up now and stop blabbering =D. |

Wow, I was so disappointed with the new CD. I liked every CD before this so far.. I mean, don't get me wrong. It's not horrible but it just doesn't have the same edge as before. oh well i guess.. i can't do anything about it, it's the band/record company's choice. and didn't they go to a new record company?? that might be the reason behind it. On their CD it says Hollywood Records and no longer Victory Records. |
