| definitely about the circle of life | |
| Modest Mouse – Interlude (Milo) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| id agree partially with the AnAtomsAnatomy, but i think its put in there deliberately just to break up the tension, like comic relief, but by melting your heart instead of making you laugh | |
| KT Tunstall – Funnyman Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
umm its not "Funnyman, listening to the world turning on its sail" its "Funnyman, listening to the world turn in on its self" and "tuning in to a brand new universe" not 'turn it in to" lol how do you edit the lyrics? or do you have to make your own? either way i think shes talkign about someone with mental problems, like she went to the park and sat ona bench next to a nutty old man without knowing it. his mind is in his own universe and as they talk they laugh, but they dont know what about because hes quite confused. "We can sit here and laugh But we don't know the half of it, In your defense" is saying that she cant really understand him, but its not his fault... and that she respects him anyway.. or soemthing |

| Modest Mouse – Invisible Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
not only is saline tea like salinity, but saline means salty, so its the salty drink/water.... i think the reference to being "invisible" is to do with us thinking that we dont impact things around us, such as air pollution-> leading to global warming which is where the ocean references come from. so 'not invisible inside your car' is like, your car and you have an impact whether you thoguht so or not. |

| Modest Mouse – Dashboard Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Diskettes is both pretentious and a wanker, needs to hear : "thou shalt always kill" especially "thou shalt not stop liking a band because they became popular". ive only liked MM for about 3 years or something but all the people saying they are sell outs, say that on a forum, not on a site about the song's meaning, it jsut shows you never actually listened to the words in the first place. i agree with the people who say its about "things could be worse" or "look on the bright side" |

| Modest Mouse – Education Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I can see elements of both those themes in there, i think the album theme is global warming, but obviously each song has a secondary theme of its own. so yeah global warming and... people not evolving so much (or how ever they would say it) |
