I love the line, "I suffered Fools so gladly" I think it may refer to when you love someone, or in deep want of having a partner, you'll put up with anything in fear of being alone etc . -- |

This piece of music is brilliant and conveys an astounding despair. I must say, the beginning of the song is my favourite part: How it slowly builds up with confident, yet simple piano keys. I can just imagine a gloomy, grey sea with rich green fern. Stunning. |

I honestly believe this song is about depression. He has presented the concept of depression in a slightly buoyant (and rather upbeat) tone. Too long have sad songs been backed up by cold, dead rhythm. I think he uses the term 'Low' as a simple, yet powerful term to describe how he feels. Because in retrospect, one can't entirely describe how they feel through depression. It seems more intense, and profound adjectives are expected. I think it also sums his depression up as a day-to-day, lingering facet of his life. I also think he's talking to himself. Yet preaching to himself, or going over concepts and feelings in his head. Obviously, a relationship of some sort seems to be relative to how he feels. Well, I could be very wrong. But that is what I get from this song. Love it. |

I think this song is about a person who is far away from home (the hotel room) and longs to return to the one she/he loves, at home. The song also means that distance between two people can't seperate them, and in the end, hearts are connected, and feelings can still be heard from far, far away. I've been listening to this song quite often recently, as my boyfriend is away. I miss him a lot, though still feel exactly the same was as I did when we were together. And his presence is anything but gone. |
