It's pretty obvious he's talking to a girl he is breaking up with but who doesn't want to give up: "I just want you to understand Theres no need to keep waiting Another day in another hand It could be so different A letter to me a wasted time " and "Today it all seemed too strong If only you'd tried you would move on" He's telling her to move on. However I just don't see how the first verses can fit in: "Tonight, I felt stronger Inside of your wake It takes a lot to get home But it's ok when the light is always on" Inside of your wake - She was laying awake and was thinking of him? That made him feel better? I know it's a bit farfetched but I can't find any better explanation. |
