It's hard to take this song from front to back and "get" everything being conveyed. And not to beat a dead horse, but the most moving part IS the chorus...giving the priceless advice that is...don't over-think your life away. Our basic sense of emotion does get less and less powerful the older we get and the more we go through...and the more we debate half empty or half full in terms of our life situation, the less we "stop and smell the flowers," so to speak. Even if this is not what the writer was thinking or intended to convey, it is a beautiful way to say it. |
