This song actually makes the claim that our pain is not self chosen. He juxtaposes the idea of self chosen pain right off the back- “AT LEAST, SO THE PROPHET SAYS” the rest of the lyrics further the idea. The song simply screams with irony, which is not hard to catch. |

he reminds me alot of layne staley. i think this song is about a religious man with mental pain(depression,panic attacks,insanity, you name it) and the ramifactions in life as a result, hinting a forsaken man. i dont think it does the song justice to imply hes talking about the low points in life all Christians go through |
