Call it me adding my own experiences to it, but I saw it as being about a failed relationship. A relationship built on obsession on his part, and she "let it die" by never really caring about him or his feelings, "Oh so considerate" (obviously its in a sarcastic tone). "A heart of gold But it lost it's pride" Possibly about said male in relationship. He's your quintessential "nice guy", with a heart of gold, but in this relationship he basically destroyed any form of self-pride he had because of the obsession. "A simple man And his blushing bride" Now, I'm not too sure exactly how this fits in, but it just seems to... "Hearts gone cold And hands are tied" It's over. There is nothing he could do about it. She has ceased to care... Anyway, that's what I got out of it. mainly because it describes my last relationship. WHat do you reckon? |
