i htink its about how the Singer lied about being in love(and all poems were false, like say, a love poem)and was cheating the other person.... then they finally realized how bad and hurtful and wrong cheating is[by losing their soul) and they realize that they love the person that they thought they didnt love, but it was too late..... "the darker things get, the better i see" ,to me, means that when things get bad(dark) ppl tend to realize things that they never realized before.. so they "see" things better and maybe for what they are... CHIODOS FUCKING OWNS!!!!!! |

i think this song has one of two meanings: 1) i agree with Quit_lollygagging, it cood be about how he knows that his significant other cheating on him, but he doesn't want to tell her... he might only suspect the cheating thought, so he doesnt want to create any problems by confronting her, so he just sits back.... 2) the singer's sigificant other is just pretending to be in love with him, but is isnt really anymore and is just with him for maybe the status of in a relationship(they dont want to be single)... maybe also..... the other person is having doubts about their relationship and he knows it... and he says "dont fool me i kno u dont think we can make it." in the part: to remember who you really are. it's so easy to get lost in constantly having to present, whatever face you believe a person wants to see, rather than your own. yet we hesitate, to surrender all of our insecurities...(move with me, move with me) only the ones we are most comfortable relinquishing.(move with me, move with me) maybe in the 2nd verse, he is saying that if ur having doubts, just talk to me and we can work this out because i don't want to give up on u.... OR a more literal approach.....(written by the girl -- chiodos says so in mos their songs--AP interview) The write is in a relationship. they are happy where they are... and the writer has to move (maybe for work) or they dont even live with each other yet... well the singer wants the other one to live with them or move with them... anyways the person the song is about says they want to but doesnt have their whole heart in it and the writer can tell that the other person isnt secure or completly sure about if they want to or not.... |

| my other theory is that he's just insecure about himself.. and he's jsut afraid that she dont love him anymore. that maybe he's just paranoid or sumthing like that.... he says that if they are not in love anymore that its all his fault.... i think its about the insecurity in a relationship, that feeling of be afraid that the other person isnt in love with him anymore....those are the vibes i get from this song | |

| i think its about a guy who is in a relationship and he let his ego destroy his relationship with her and he knows that she is sick of him and doesnt want to be with him anymore. when he walks into the party and shes there it actually makes her sad as oppposed to her being happy like someone shood be if their significant other were to be in the room... so hes just feeling srry for himself for knowing that is over, he's jsut waiting for it to happen | |
