I'd say this song is about betrayal. Like, the girl who he sings it to is about to betray her bf: kiss and tell - she's doing it just to 'kill the demons within her' kill and tell - she's going to hurt her bf by doing that, she will fail both his and her own heart, but her passion is deranged, she cannot control it, so she will regret it later, but it will be too late, her soul will already be sold. This is how I get it, please feel welcome not to agree;) |

I like the music a lot! It's great! And, as for the lyrics... uh, I don't know, I think it can be about various things, as many Ville's songs. 'Cold blood' - is it cold because he actually has no feelings, as DreamersDisease said, or is it cold because he's dead? Maybe both, conserning Ville's view of love? |

Of all new songs, this is the one that stuck on me first, i simply love it! It is full of methaphores labyrinthine lies - like, you cannot find the way out of so many lies (in that bad relationship that he sings about) of fallen truths, the truest is you - she is the one that decieved him the most Too close to my heart, oh my love - but he still loves her, anyways What I liked most is: One last caress from the corpse of love... is all I want underneath the cyanide sun I guess Cyanide Sun is the sun whose light he cannot stand, it is killing him. Maybe it is other people's happiness, or just the cruel reality... i don't know, but that longing for one last caress, it sounds so well said - from the corps of love - the love is dead and he's lamenting on it... Uh, such a sad song! I love it!!! And, the whole new album is GREAT!!! HIM RULEZ :D |

I don't like the fact that this band is still called SR as it was called with Baz (it is completelly different music now), but anyway, this song is very good! And Solinger did a good singing job on this one. As for the lyrics: I like the line: 'Still reading the sidewalk' I imagine a guy walking the street with his eyes stuck to the ground, so ashamed of everything, like he's 'reading the sidewalk' with his head bowed down like that. It depicts the previous line 'But you call me and I follow And act like I'm so proud ' What a proud guy, ha? :) And 'Watch the window, time means nothing Watch the window, 'til I see you coming ' like, he's ready to stare into her window forever, just to see her once. |

It is obvious what the song is about: it's about kids that don't let anyone tell them what to do. They are young, and they are wild, and they will stay that way no matter what. The song is an anthem of teen age. And, of course, Baz is still among #1 singers in the world, even today, after all these years! |

I refuse to listen to this version!!!It hurts my ears!!! The rest of album can be judged, it may pass as ok if we forget the name of the band (there actually are some songs that I liked), but to make punk version of such a beautiful ballad... it is such A SIN!!! UNFORGIVABLE! Not to mention that Solinger's voice CANNOT BE COMPARED to Bach's. I don't know why Bolan needed this... As a true (former) Skid Row fan, it just makes me sad that things between them turned out like they did. |

Anyway, I would just add my thoughts about 'Christmas clean love' - Christmas should simbolize love for family, friends... everybody - unconditional love; so I guess it was just a methaphore for the purest love. There are so many other ways to express ones self... Why suicide? I do not agree with anyone being allowed to sing lyrics like these (Suicide is self expression) because you can not know if some kid will misinterpret and actually kill him self just to relate to his role model. Anyway, I love tOn and really dig Pete's lyrics, it's just that, I think - in this song the last line should have been omitted for the sake of light headed teenagers (and there are many of them in the world). I would say The_Drummers_Angel posted the correct version. Here's what I came up with: can it be that Ville sings about cheating up on that girl, but it would have to mean that somebody is in love with someone of same sex, like - the girl's boyfriend cheated up on her with Ville? :) 'She will be carrying the weight of our deeds' made me think so, and also 'We smile when she cries a river of tears' like, the two of them (men) are happilly in love which is hurting her. ... I came up with that when I read a post about 'Behind the Crimson Door' where someone said it could be about Ville's love for Bam. Than the girl in this song would be Bam's wife. Sounds sick, but anyways... does anybody think the same? |
