Foo Fighters – Walking After You Lyrics 18 years ago
This is my personal interpretation, based off how I connect to it.

I love this song, by the way, I love all of the slow songs the Foos have done. Acoustic In Your Honor, beautiful.

Anyways:

It's when you think about giving up on somebody because of something bad that happened between you. You want to just leave them. But when you do, you find out you can't be without them.
...and just him saying he's going to college, he wants to be friends, things like that, makes me cry.

So this song connects to how I feel.

Beeyork!!
This song sounds more like a Disney song than a James Bond song. It has a nice, magical feeling to it...but Beeyork has the type of voice that adds that to songs.

Björk – Joga Lyrics 18 years ago
For a while, I was really fixated on 'Isobel' being my favourite Beeyork tune, but this one is slowly becoming my new favourite. It's just the way it sounds, it's so difficult to describe.

It's the song that you could listen to with somebody, somebody so close to you, and you look at them, and..well, as she says in the song, you both feel the same way. It's one of life's greatest bonds, but it's so difficult to find.

The Beatles – Strawberry Fields Forever Lyrics 18 years ago
I wouldn't exactly call myself a 'real' Beatles fan, meaning that I'm not one of the hardcore ones that dedicates their lives to them. But I enjoy their music so much, even in this modern age, it's still the most creative music that I've ever heard. The lyrics, the insturments, the ideas, it's better than a great amount of musical artists these days.

I look at the lyrics to Strawberry Fields and I immediately picture a large red field in my mind. A very vacant field, no buildings or modern things, but explosive with colours. It's something that I wish I could paint.

Sure, the song sounds drug influenced, and heck, it might actually be, but I just see it as the story of a place in your subconcious where you can escape reality and just live in the fields of strawberries forever. It also talks about how it's not possible to live with your eyes closed. I know that feeling too well. And if it is based off of Lennon's youth, it's obvious, because of the childlike innocence of living in a fantasy world in your imagination. The lyrics speak wonders.

Björk – Cocoon Lyrics 18 years ago
I think that the lyrics to this song are quite beautiful. I really love them. She is almost describing the exact way that I see love making. I think of it as a special connection of two souls, not just bodies. It's meant to be SPECIAL, shared with your soul mate when you're ready, the one you love most. It really isn't shallow when two people love each other so much. It can actually be spiritual. A unreal feeling, like you're dreaming, an escape from reality. Anyways..

Speakin' of the dream thing, that would describe this verse:

He slides inside
Half awake, half asleep
We faint back
Into sleephood
When I wake up
The second time
In his arms
Gorgeousness
He's still inside me

The fact that she feels like it's all a dream, and a male that just seems so perfect would want to be with her, she's surprised by that. She feels like she's dreaming, but she sees him there, and they're still making love.

I haven't actually listened to the tune, I should..

I got into Björk only recently. The first song I heard by her is It's Oh So Quiet, great song by the way! I bought Post recently, I enjoy it muchly. Although I'm not really a fan of the electronica genre, it's hypnotizing, very soothing. I adore her voice, and how unique it is. And how sometimes she'll just make these weird shouts and screams in her songs. Yeah..
