i think this is about the whole bush behind the 9/11 bombings thing. i was just in 4th grade when it happened but i remember watching the news before school, and the thing that i remember more than anything was how the people that were so afraid of being burned to death, decided to jump out of the windows. and truly it was a long long way down with no soft landing. no idea if thats right but this song just gives me the chills and makes me think of when i was watching all those people die on tv as a kid. |

im not sure if this is right but, its just wut it says to me. "street tar in summer" a summer of binging on black tar heroin. "i need someone to take care of me tonight" hes going through withdrawals. "whats gonna get me out of this" he wants it to be over with. the song is also called black like me, as in black tar heroin. thats just wut i got from it. |

to me this song is really about black tar heroin. at first your in love and it feels like its the only thing that matters. after a while, u notice that its all u have in ur life, and u want all the stuff u had before, yet ur still in love with it, even though u kno in the back of ur mind, u really want to get out of ur habbit. |

i kno this is probably wrong but this song seems like hes tryin to get off a drug. he wants to stop fightin with the band and just get along, but the addiction is making them angry. he fooled himself into thinking that doing this drug was living. and he needs help. :P |
