my interpretation....right now i feel lonely and ignored, i have issues(scars) that i cant hold inside. i am what i want you to want(i put up a front, in other words, he isn't being true to himself, he is being who the others want him to be) but no matter how hard he tries to fit in, he can't prove that he is that real (his fakeness isn't accepted). so he lets go and becomes his true self. as a result she(or a friend, group of friends, family, whoever)turns her back on him, but he can't leave because she is all that he has. he can't feel the way he did before(because he was being so untrue to himself, being someone different) but don't turn your back on me because i tried to be something i'm not(i only did it for your acceptance because you are all i have and i would do anything to make you accept and love me, even if it is being lie)time won't heal this damage i have done, but don't turn on me and ignore me because i did it for love. he's insecure and unconfident(in himself, therefore he poses) because she wouldn't be able to understand his real self, but he gets so caught up and tired of living a double life it confuses him and others. i am what you never wanted to say(she had suspicions of him being a poser, but never voiced them and he knows this) and when he tries to say who he really is and why it goes back to the same thing happening in the end of the first verse. when he shouts(hear me out now) he demands the audience's(her) attention and will stop at nothing to be heard and given a chance to explain himself and his issues. then he gets soft with (i cant feel) because he wants the others to know that they should be more accepting of him for trying so hard to be accepted , for trying to fit in because he cared so much for them and tried to be something they would love back. but they turn so he goes back to his rage. i won't be ignored!!!mtf!!! FU for not loving me back when all i have is you so you better accept me!!! this song could be towards anyone, the title "faint" could mean he was to weak or cowardly to be himself, but not anymore, obviously. or it can mean someone who is not clearly defined(someone who has no rank in a group or in someone's like and the could care less for him) |
