During the "winds of change" part, I can hear those Cold War-era songs' drums/electrical representations of drums in the background. I remember that there is a song about winds of change (about Communist governments falling in Eastern Europe) that also heavily used such drums in the background. Are they connected? If you have no idea about those drums, try listening to Billy Joel's Leningrad. There's another Cold War-era song but I forgot its title. |

Beautiful song. He broke up, and the memories rush back to him as he surveys the place he is about to leave. I thought I heard a song with lyrics a bit similar to this a long time ago, not sure about that. |

Beautiful melody. Josh once again shines in this moving song. It's basically about one initially separating with his girl, but in the end he realises that he is meant to be with her. |

The first time the chorus is sang is pretty self-explainatory, the grandma says that while she is doing her chores she couldn't meet him; it's the second time the chorus is sang that the true meaning of love is brought in. Basically, Grandpa is sending a letter to Grandma in the heavens. "If you get there before I do" (If you reach the afterlife before I do) "Don't give up on me. I'll meet you when my chores are through, I don't know how long I'll be." (After Grandpa's remaining time/tasks to be settled on Earth, he'll join Grandma in heaven again) "But I'm not gonna let you down, darling wait and see And between now and then, till I see you again I'll be loving you. Love, me" (Grandpa reiterates that his love for his departed wife will never wane, and he promises to meet her after he's done) It's a sad but very meaningful song. |
