This song is so beautiful. I could not tell anybody what it's about, but there is a certain feeling I get when I listen to it. I agree with mmbpaddock, completely. The most beautiful thing about this song is that, whether it was initially written about an argument or a business colleague or the police, it can mean something completely different to hundreds of people; it's supposed to! That's what's so wonderful about music in general, and especially DMB. I love this song. :) |

Aw, man. When I first heard this, I heard "like a wake needs a sea" and not "like awake needs asleep". "Like a wake needs a sea" is much better. :[ But I love this song. 'You look like the songs that I've heard my whole life coming true' is my all-time favorite line. It's wonderful! |
