I'm actually a poet, and I tend to write in KevMo's sorta cryptic, confusing style, especially when writing something personal. So this is what I see, at least in the "chorus": 95% Happened in the home Swallowed by the bed And caught in the phone. My summary of this is that the 5% we don't know about was something someone said to him that he began to doubt he could trust the person, OR there was a small argument, OR he felt a pang when he knew he'd have to confess something on the phone later. I dunno for sure, but it feels to me like something along those lines. Next, the other 95% happened in his home, specifically in his bedroom. It's possible that he has a phone in his room, and that he was now proceeding to call this person he was just with to discuss what happened or make a confession or something. I might tackle the other verses and choruses and whatnot at some later time, but I'll have to think about this one. |
