this song is just amazing. i think it may have to be my favourite bloc party track. the beginning line "to be lost in a forest" is just like being in love, you don't know how to get out but it's beautiful. i relate to it completely, the guy that i was/am in love with has always been scared of commitment, he loved me back but never to the extent that i did, but he was always to scared for a relationship, this song brings the pain it can cause and the confusion but i relate to the line "do you wanna come over and kill some time?" with fond memories because even though we never dated, there were so many times we just hung out at his place killing time. thats what this song sums up for me |

to me, this song is about a guy that has seriously liked/loved a girl (or something else) for a v.long time and all he can think of is her, hes been waiting for so long that the "waiting is the best part" because it means something can still happen even though he wishes he doesnt feel that way anymore. he wants one more glimpse, one last time with her cos then he could get over her? thats my take anyway |
