i think that buffyx got it right, mostly. Delilah did cut off samson's hair and betrayed him to the government, but she would have been under so much pressure from her family and country that because she was used to being treated badly by men that she caved in, but regretted it... ' you were my greatest downfall' because she really did love him. i believe that the lines 'the history books forgot about us and the bible didnt mention us...' really means that those sources focus on samsons strength, life and death, rather than thier love for rach other, so doing, when we read of samson and delilah, we dont mention and forget about the love that they had. |
