| dont want to disagree with anyone, especially cause i love this band and this song in particular, but i saw them live 2 days ago and walked out. ive never been to a concert where the band sucked so much. now, part of it was the sound engineers fault cause there was so much distortion in the sound, but these guys were just shit live. maybe i had a bad show or something. | |

The song meaning is pretty obvious - the concepts of loss and how we deal with it are rife. Great song and a great Aussie hard rock band. Saw them live at the Ekka this year, and loved it. Clint is a bit of a tool, but Glenn rocks the bass and back-up vocals!!!! They make awesome music. |

[higginst], thank you for replacing my faith in Deftones fans. You're insight into pink cellphone is exactly my thoughts on the track. To those who dont like the song because of it's "disgusting" content and the way it makes you feel - THATS HOW IT'S SUPPOSED TO MAKE YOU FEEL, IDIOTS!!! And here i was thinking people listened to 'alternative' styles of music to NOT take things at face value. How stupid of me. The song is meant to provoke you, to make you feel something, ANYTHING, to show that you aren't just another clone being born into a world that is based on consumerism, self-gratification, and irresponsibility. The song is saying dont be another copy. Dont accept what you're told without questioning it. Don't just give up and give in and be another person who just wants to be the same as the crowd. Grow up people, or go back and listen to your corporate rock, pop bulls**t tracks without any meaning, and prove Chino right. |
