Fairly self-explanatory really: downers = boobs = good. I just wanted to point out another example of rev's linguistic trickery. The line 'if there's one thing I can't stand, it's up' has the double meaning of not being able to get up and disliking being in a heightened state of awareness (uppers). One of the best drug songs imo, replicates the feeling :) |

Whoah...I interpreted this a lot differently. I always thought of this just as an anti-love/relationship song along the same lines as 'Contract'. First of all, 'damaged goods' is a euphemism for 'slut'. Combined with the line: 'Sometimes I'm thinking that I love you/But I know it's only lust', plus the whole 'change will do you good' and 'kissing you goodbye' thing leads me to believe the song's about telling off some girl (or the idea of relationships in general). |
