Amazing song Everyone knows what its like having a crush. "This very secret you're trying to conceal Is the very same one you're dying to reveal Go tell her how you feel" Says it perfectly and it ryhmes. (I believe this is a cover though) |

| George Michael – Faith Lyrics | 18 years ago |

Oh but I Need some time off from that emotion Time to pick my heart up off the floor And when that love comes down Without devotion Well it takes a strong man baby But I'm showing you the door This song is about not having faith in a relationship, but having faith out of a relationship. In his last relationship his heart was broken, and even though he still loves her he has to have faith that something/someone better will come and treat him right. Before you throw my heart back on the floor Oh baby I reconsider My foolish notion Well I need someone to hold me But I'll wait for something more |

| Damien Rice – The Blower's Daughter Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
When I hear the Girls voice saying, "Did I say that I loathe you? Did I say that I want to Leave it all behind?" I allways get the impression that Damien is thinking about her, and says to himself, 'She never said she didn't like me.' As if her voice is instide his head, and he IS in denial, trying to think of anything that could get them back together. "The pupil in denial" And he switches it to, i cant take my MIND off of you after the girl sings. TO me it also seems like he has some added zeal in singing after the girl sings. I dont know, i just really like the girl's part. |

Amazing. Parellel meanings are beutiful. Of course he is talking about the moon. And every line can be about the moon. But, i think he is talking about his love, and how wonderful she is in his eyes. By the way, I thought it was: "Intertwining like a ring around the finger" I love that line. This song's thought moves rapidly. It's very deep. |

Yes. Sadly enough this song is pretty much self-explanatory. My favorite lines are: "If you can wade in though the teardrops" and "I walk and cry while my heartbeat keeps time with the drag of my shoes" |

| Johnny Cash – Folsom Prison Blues Lyrics | 18 years ago |

THe majority of people miss the meaning of this song. It not just about a killer, who is tough, and wants to get out of prison. Its about a person who did something wrong, it could be anything. He didnt listen to what people told him (What his mother told him). And now he is suffering for doing that. He wishes he was like the people who didnt do anything wrong, the poeple that are enjoying life. (They're prob'ly drinkin' coffee and smokin' big cigars) He knows that, even though he wants to be free, he never will be free from his emotional prison. (I know i can be free) But he dreams about a time that he could do better, and be far away from his 'prison. (Far from folsom prison) And when he gets that, the train will make him happy instead of sad. This isnt about some hard-core gangsta, who is tough and can kill a guy. Its about a deep person, who is sad about what he did.(I hang my head and cry) And he wants to take it back, and start a real life. |

I really enjoy the tounge/rudder metaphor. And who posted those wrong lyrics. It destroys the song: "The corn rows, they travel fast and alone" What is that!? Please, the lyrics on this site are correct. Lets not mutilate a beauitful song by changing words of meaning with meaningless words that sound similar. |

| Secondhand Serenade – The Last Song Ever Lyrics | 18 years ago |

Sorry BeccaxLove, but i think this is from the male perspective. He is singing about, as was earlier mentioned, a fight. He wants her to forget about the fight and not hate him. He dosent know how they will end up. He shows us his reaction: "Heartbeat's slowing Pains are growing Does SHE love you? That worth knowing." He just had a fight, and realizes he was wrong. THat she was everything to him. He has pain because of this. And he is torn because he isnt sure if she still loves him. ("Does she love you?") ... He had a fight with her. He realizes that he was wrong. he is upset about hurting her. He doesnt want her to hate her. He is very upset about the whole thing. He isnt sure is she still loves him. He dosent know how his 'Life', or song, will end. ("I wish my life was this song.") |
