| Keane – We Might As Well Be Strangers Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| It's all been said already – a broken relationship, she (seemingly) just carries on as if nothing happened, but he just can't understand and he thinks about her non-stop and misses her sooo much it hurts. | |
| Snow Patrol – Hands Open Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| It's just someone, hoping for a totally impactical, forbidden, seemingly ridiculous, yet very strong love to work out. Everytime they express this love, they are shot down in flames for being silly. | |

This is about the someone who has strived so hard to try and be "perfection" for a loved one. Then is told that this process has changed him/her so much from what was initially endearing and attractive. And forfeit your whole kingdom I'd sooner lose it than still live in it alone Refers to the material possesions (kingdom) which are totally worthless in comparison to love. |

I think this is about total lack of self esteem, the author is beyond caring about anything. In which case "don't mind any more" should read "don't care any more |
