This song has been powerful to me as I imagine the singer has had a spiritual rebirth in the form of some difficult grounding lesson. Cold water brings imagines of refreshing, painful, cleansing, purity, and even baptism. Some lesson has been learned but the author is struggling to understand it and so is asking for help to the lord. All I have is the "hand" of the lord to guide me. In essense I imagine he is saying to the lord, I trust you now and is waiting to understand more . This has put the song in a positive light for me. |
