Black Label Society – In This River Lyrics 18 years ago
The river is a metaphor for life, which is illustrated very well in the video, where they're at the place with all the people (illustrating the backside of life), and when they dive in to the river, but only Zakk comes up again.
And it's true, this song was written long before Dimebag died, but after his death Zakk listened to it and decided that it was Dimebags song.

And I haven't seen any of these since some ugly fucking bastard told everyone to stop, but I've got to say it.

Rest in Peace, Brother Dime...

Manowar – Master Of The Wind Lyrics 18 years ago
This is the most beatiful song in the world ever, and one of Manowar's best.
LordElfstone, it does have a meaning, it's about our dreams, and that when it seems like they won't come true, and it feels like there's no tomorrow, nothing is as bad as it seems, every bad day brings two better days. You can see this in these lines:

"Winds of change will winds of fortune bring" and
"For any day that stings two better days it brings,
nothing is as bad as it seems"

What? No comments? People should really start listening to these guys, they friggin' rule!
This song is based on the movie Legend, from 1985 starring Tom Cruise who sets out to claim the magic horn of the unicorn, which was stolen by dark forces to bring darkness to the world, and to save the girl he loves, who was kidnapped by the Lord of Darkness.
This song is their best, and one of the best songs in the world, ever! You can download it for free at www.pyramaze.com!

Iced Earth – Dracula Lyrics 18 years ago
Best Iced Earth song, and one of the best songs in the world ever!
It takes references from the book, the 1931 movie and the 1992 movie, and Dracula is NOT Vlad Tepes (and Bram Stoker did not base his vampire on Tepes either, although he was losely inspired by him), Dracula is a man who fights for God, and then God takes his beloved wife (or girlfriend, or whatever...), which pushes him over the edge, so he swears to rise up from the dead and avenge hers with all the powers of darkness.

Iron Maiden – Infinite Dreams Lyrics 18 years ago
This song is about the father of The Seventh Son of the Seventh Son, who himself is his fathers seventh son (which means he is the second Seventh Son mentioned in the album title). In this song he knows that he will have his seventh son, and that that boy will have special powers, and he knows he will die soon, although he does not want to, he wonders if this life is all there is.

Iron Maiden – The Clairvoyant Lyrics 18 years ago
This song is about The Seventh Son of the Seventh Son, who possesses the ability to see what will happen = clairvoyance, which means clear sight. He can see what will happen, but not what will bring his own end.

Iron Maiden – Paschendale Lyrics 18 years ago
"Blood is falling like the rain
Its crimson cloak unveils again
The sound of guns can't hide their shame
And so we die at Paschendale"

Is probably the greatest four lines of text in the history of mankind.
About the meaning of the song, I think that Metalmaiden is really correct.
