I think the song is about a guy knowing that his old lady is cheating on him but he pretends like he doesn't know. Probably because he's a simp. Why a grown man would do this for a woman, I shall never know. |

Yes, the song is about a drug dealer. But it's hidden as a metaphor for a truck driver. The way the song is sung, the melody...it wants you to take the idea of a truck driver. But yes, it's about a drug dealer having to do what it takes to make ends meet. |

It's a song about a guy trying to make a relationship work with his girl. It's his final plea, you can hear it in Pharrell's voice. It's not a happy song at all. |

I agree with oleander. This is the most selfish song in music history. Even more selfish than 'If Loving Is You Is Wrong'. |

One, how do you know that Kingston was charged with a crime. And how do you know he's being literal? Crime could mean he was failing school in a sense.
Two, how do you know the song is about him. Maybe the song is about an older brother and he's singing from his perspective.
3. The song is not a 'ripoff'. It's a remake with different lyrics. |

I really think this is a song about a dude trying to bang a chick in her parents house but they would be heard by everyone so he can't. So he sits there and repeatedly says the same things like, 'All our friends are doing fine.' |

Ok, I hope someone corrects me. I THINK this song is about a guy and his boys trying to get his friend to meet a girl. They even go talk to her but his friend however plays the shy role and disappears. That's why the Rabbits ask...'Boy, where are you hidin?' |
