Talking Heads – This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody) Lyrics 18 years ago
unfortunately, I only just recently discovered this song. by way of Lars and the Real Girl (amazing movie, you should all see it, and it perfectly uses this song.) at first I thought this was melancholy and it kind of made me depressed, but then I looked at the lyrics more and realized it's a really positive love song, actually. I am in love with it.

I am feeling exactly like this, have been for the past two years. Been in love with a boy who's out in Iowa in college now, and I think I'm going to send him a love letter soon...

I agree with Suf. it has a kind of socialist/communalist bent to it... :)

Sufjan Stevens – No Man's Land Lyrics 18 years ago
People above who have said this challenges the Woody Guthrie song are right.
The last verse is saying that "this land is not your land, and this land is not my land either," in opposition to what the WG song states. The land was made for no one. It is no one's except the earth's, and we cannot lay claim to it. Hence the title, No Man's Land.
