maybe he wants to get moving with a new relationship; he knows what he's got to do to get over his last relationship, but he wants to be certain his new candidate will cut to the chase and get into a serious relationship rather than flirting and messing around: "Let's save this GAME for never" and "Stalemate and weve just wasted time" Perhaps. |

I'm sure when I was listening on the radio I heard a mixture of "When we have got a storm to face I forget about the race" as well as "the minute that I saw your face...". I kind of agree with ePilgrimage, except when I heard "the sun will rise, even if you don't happen to be there" was a reference to dying, i.e. the world will carry on being even if you're dead - almost saying nobody'll miss you. I also think 'the race' could be a reference to the human race. When i listened it brought images of like absoloutley everyone racing some giant marathon, but everyone starts (and ends) at different times, and I got the impression the whole song was quite general. Then again, the end bit's the minute that I saw YOUR face, etc. I love the way that the lyrics are well-written, so you can find them simple or puzzling, but not totally obvious and not uber-enigmatical. |

| Laura Marling – My Manic and I Lyrics | 18 years ago |

This is an eery song that makes my skin crawl, but it's so amazingly different, she really has the ability to think outside the box, something that some people seem afraid to do, or aren't creative enough, today. I can see why she realeased 'New Romantic' first instead of this or 'My Manic & I', as they're alot less mainstream. |

"The DRUGS that deceive him", "By two he is scared because sleep is NO FRIEND" "I think it's dull when my heart MEETS my mind". |

Isn't it ' but my bat-like heart, wants to fly away', not bat lightning? |

I really love the piano music for this, and I have been searching for it for ages.... but to no avail! |

| Kate Nash – A Is for Asthma and Annoying Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| it's nice and quite inspiring - listening to it's like 'staying calm and deep breathing', and thanks, wishiwasfrombrixton, because these lyrics have been added quite badly! | |
| Kate Nash – Mouthwash Lyrics | 18 years ago |

this song is so catchy, with such great lyrics! it's amazing how kate can mix the both together - all the great tunes have rubbish lyrics and all the ones with great lyrics are really slow, boring, accoustic things. |

| Kate Nash – Mariella Lyrics | 18 years ago |

this song is like a beautiful story mixed with some quirky piano chords and a bit of an odd beat and made into this amazing, quite touching song. and i think alot of people can relate to it, too - sometimes i wish I was like mariella because, like at the beginning, alot of people can relate to the line " I'm far too loud, it's like, as soon as I've got an opinion, it just has to come out," |

oh, and i like the bit where it says she takes a hammer BEFORE she gets out of bed. ps badboyfriend i never really thought of it like that but it does kind of fit. |

| Kate Nash – Skeleton Song Lyrics | 18 years ago |

why does everything have to have such a deep meaning, people? the meaning to this song is obvious; the narrator has a friend who is a skeleton that she has grown up with, but now she is older she's sort of fed-up and feels that it is slowing her down and holding her back - so much that ahe even dreams sometimes of smashing it to pieces, but she resolves this problem by adding that they have been through too much together to be seperated. |
