this has to be one of thriving ivory's better songs. it is about someone who is far away (either physically or mentally) from someone they love. they are always there for their lover even though there is some doubt about faithfulness. "Keep in mind we're under the same sky And the night's as lonely for me as for you" they might both be missing each other but having that in common, they are together. "Kiss the rain Whenever you need me Kiss the rain Whenever I'm gone too long" Just as he/she will be there for the other person, they need to be though of too: "Think of me, think of me, think of me, only me." This is an absolutely amazing song to jam out to. For me, it's even about friends who are there fo you when you need them the most. Great vocals and piano. |

i agree as well. At first glance, this song seems almost silly, but once you look closer, you realize that there's really great lyrics here: "i've sailed through hurricanes with just a wooden plank and a smiley face." |

this is an amazing song... but which cloud cult song isnt? For me, it seems to be the feelings toward someone who has taken their own life. "That man jumped out the window. Come back in the window." It talks about other things relating to the death. The thoughts and habits formed. The sense of falsehood surrounding everything. The things they think they see and how they think they are dreaming. I really do like how they leave it open for interpretation. (sp?) |
