| Macklemore – And We Danced Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| At first listen this song sounds really silly and just fun but I agree with agravels and ECON1728 that there is a deeper meaning. He seems to be making fun of all the 'let's go out to the club and it'll be an EPIC night' songs... It's genius... | |
| Macklemore – Wings Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| PandemiK certainly did nail it. In an interview, Macklemore said the following: "The song 'Wings' is about the pursuit of identity through the means of consumerism. The attempt is to dissect our infatuation and attachment to logos, labels, brands and the fleeting happiness that is intrinsically linked to the almighty power of the purchase. The subject I use in the song is shoes, but its aim is to paint a broader picture of being a consumer and tracing the lineage back to my first memory of retail infused desire." | |

The line "I've been trying to shake off the pain" should be: "I'm still trying to shake off the pain" And I also think that the line, "His head on my mantle is how I will let this one go, how much I love you." Should be: "His head on my mantle is how I will let this world know, how much I love you." Love this song! |

| The Urge – Too Much Stereo Lyrics | 16 years ago |

I LOVE this song! Can't believe that nobody has commented on it yet!? I think the meaning is obvious: he is sick of fighting and wants things to go back to the way they were before the argument... However I like how he puts it. There are several ideas that are used mostly relating to music. I particularly like him saying that he wants to get back to hearing mono (One unified viewpoint) instead of stereo (two people defending their own arguments). At least that is how I interpret it. BTW WTF does "Burb up" mean!? I think its supposed to be "Burn up" Thanks for posting this one though :) |
