This song means a lot to me, more than I ever thought a song would ever mean to me. Please, try and listen to it and not sing along. Please, tell me this is bad without telling a blatant lie. Please, show me a song that showcases more breath-taking lyrics and brilliantly written music. In-fact, I'm sorry everyone on here hasn't commented this and shared their opinion on this wonderful piece of art. But I can see why they haven't because to my dismay, this song cannot be explained with words. Currently, if you want me to tell the truth, I could care less about interpreting these lyrics. Every word relates to my prior relationship. Every word, plain and simple. I may sound like an idiot, oh well. "Yeah, you swept me away." |

This song is, obviously, about a girl. I'd say at the begging he has a strong feeling of anxiety that the best of her is glowing elsewhere rather than in his arms. He's angry because all he wants is for her to love him as much as he does her. He's very angry. All he wants is to be equal, level, whatever, as I said, he wants their love to be the same but right now she loves him less, therefore she has all the power in the relationship. This is where he becomes a fool. She can manipulate him into anything. He'll do anything, he'll do EVERYTHING he can to get this girl back, though she's relentlessly having him feel weak and angry, he has became her fool. She has put him on a noose, without her, he will suffocate (become overwhelmed). I'm going to go through the rest rather fast. He's discovered a hidden strength. Although he still feels a deep passion for this girl, he'll still survive. He knows this, therefore he refuses to go into depression. He has untied her noose himself. She is not needed any longer. Ladies and gents, all he needed to do was discover that strength that lay inside of him! He is a fool no more. |
