I totally agree with you, AlexaG. You said it wonderfully. In the last verse he offers to leave his current partner for the woman he's having an affair with, but ultimately admits that she cannot make him as happy as his current partner can. This is a song you're meant to feel. |

Not saying that this is where the idea for the song came from, but I read this recently, and it made me think of this song immediately.
