| I think I can kind of understand this, based on what Im going through. She talks about how shes a modern girl that folds in half so easily in the pictures of success. And then about "when your dead"... I think its that trying to achieve the pictures of success can kill you. You work so hard to be something that you arent, that it starts to kill you. And in the state of the loud feet The dirt stores much in my familiy- NOT LITERAL DIRT THIS TIME, IT REPRESENTS HIS DIRTY DEEDS, THE BAD THAT HE HAS DONE AND HOW THIS REFLECTS ON HIS FAMILY. I've got a babys clean conscience- IF INFACT THE STUMBLING IS A REFERENCE TO DRINKING IT WOULD MAKE SENSE WITH THIS LINE-- HE DOESNT HAVE TO FEE BAD WHEN HE IS DRUNK, SO HE DRINKS TO FEEL CLEAN, LIGHT. I walk around with my shoes off- CARELESS AND UNCAUTIONARY And the ground holds on to my bad walk - HIS FAMILY HOLDS ON AND LOVES HIM REGARDLESS... OBVIOUSLY WITH THIS SONG, THAT BOTHERS HIM, HE FEELS BAD. ITS KIND OF A BAD CIRCLE, HE FEELS BAD FOR THE THINGS THAT REFLECT ON HIS FAMILY, SO HE DRINKS TO FEEL BETTER, BUT WHEN DRINKING HE REFLECTS BAD ON HIS FAMILY ALL OVER AGAIN. ITS VERY SORROWFUL AND REGRETFUL. YOU ARENT GOING TO BE UPBEAT AND BOUNCY WHEN YOU FEEL LIKE HE OBVIOUSLY FELT WHILE WRITING THIS SONG. |
