| U2 – Lemon Lyrics
|
This song is about a time when Bono watched a video of his (deceased) mother in a lemon yellow dress. He wrote this song in reference to the fact that man is always trying to preserve time:
"A man makes a picture - a moving picture
Through light projected he can see himself up close
A man captures colour - a man likes to stare
He turns his money into light to look for her"
The song is 100? true, and kinda depressing, if I do say so myself. It however is awesome.
The music video is made in tribute to Edward Muybridge, or something like that. He was the first person to capture film, on his invention, interestingly enough called the Zoopraxiscope (Coincidence?). Basically, his films were prehistoric GIF files. |

I think the line is supposed to be "Lost in his little Yellow Round Eyes", considering the fact that www.presidentsrock.com has quite a bit of errors in its lyrics department.
I also think, no, I know this song is about a cat. PUSA generally sing about random stuff. Half of their debut album was random! I don't think this is a sexual metaphor. |

| The Prodigy – Baby's Got A Temper Lyrics

This song is one of the most under-rated Prodigy songs. I think it's awesome. BTW, anything written by Keith Flint usually has controversy attachted too it, so the drug reference really didn't surprise me!
The Prodigy rocks! |

| Primitive Radio Gods – Standing Outside A Broken Phone Booth With Money In My Hand Lyrics

I think that this song, in a nutshell, is basically the "shock value".
After someone dies tragically, I think most people start to question their beliefs, is there a God? What are we on this planet for? What is our destiny? What happens after we die? Etc...
This song just basically details what happens after a tragedy.
The title basically says that you shouldn't waste your life doing something that you might not be able to do when you're older, even if you have the means or money to do so. |

Truthfully, looking at these lyrics, the song songs like gibberish, but if you listen to it, it is freakin' hilarious. I have this one, and Radio Edit version. (NOTE: The Radio Edit version has more intense language than this one. Pretty funny use of sarcasm.)
Aswesome song, from a quirky, but cool band. |

| Weird Al Yankovic – Gee, I'm A Nerd Lyrics

He did too write it, it was a parody of "Free as a Bird". He had asked McCartney if he could parody this song, and MacCartney turned the decision over to Yoko Ono, and she felt that she wasn't very comfortable with a parody of the song just yet. He there fore never released it, but he does sing it in concert sometimes. |

Originally the song was going to have part of "Buddy Holly" by Weezer in between "Bullet with Butterfly Wings" and "My Friends". Yankovic was later forced to edit it out, because the songs writer felt uncomfortable with it being in this polka medley. To bad this version was never released... |

It was Yankovic's idea to write another Knack parody after "My Bologna". He sent it to Capitol, but they didn't use it.
And, yes it is a "Weird Al" Yankovic song...
Sheesh... |
