| Loving the new sound! I think the lyrics can be interpreted a little deeper than just 9/11. They reference the selling of guns & many other disasters that have occurred; leading up to the dystopian world of the new album. The message I take from the chorus is that although the mistakes of the past are figuratively burned into memory, there is always a new reason to continue fighting to live. | |

This song is so haunting to me. I think it's about being in relationship with someone but one of them not being able to move on. So the other person is forced to realize that maybe all the plans they'd made together were just illusions that were holding them back.
