Great song but are you sure its not "where have you been"? (pronounced more like bean) instead of "What have you be". Not an expert on this song but thats what it sounds like to me Also "Hoping something GOOD might grow out of this misletoe" "And the way that YOUR body feels when it's wrapped around me" |

"This is a lullaby, but one so honest and bittersweet, it's absolutely lovely in all the right ways. Nearly a perfect song, in my opinion." Nearly perfect indeed. My one complaint would just be that its not long enough. Every time i hear it i wish there was at least one more verse. When i first heard it i didn't get the mother/child aspect. I first heard it in the movie Heart breakers which dealt with a breakup between a man/woman. But after reading your post i completely agree with your interpretation. I nearly cried after re-listening to it because i think it really does sum up my feelings toward my child. We wish they would never know pain but we can't protect them forever. All we can hope is that they are content with the choices they make. |

| Dee Carstensen – To Dance Again Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| This song was played in the short lived series VR.5. It's a very touching song that seems to be about loosing someone you love. It fits well with the storyline of the show, one twin dying and the other surviving. | |

| This song has great lyrics my favorite being "I do believe you can carry, twice the weight of every suffering fool. And either wisdom that you share, we wouldn't have these tears to struggle through. I might have noticed I'd forgotten what I'd set out to win. ***And where I wanted to arrive is where you've always been.***" That last part is just so true to me that sometimes we search everywhere for something that's always been right in front of us. | |

This is one of my all time favorite songs. I could never find the lyrics so I finally just decided to decipher the lyrics myself. Please let me know of any corrections/suggestions. To me this song is about the woman who comes along after a great love. Often movies/books center on first loves but this is about the women falling for a man who's idealized his first love and can't move on. |

| sadly i heard this song was based on a true story of two women who were killed when a man walked into a planned parenthood and started shooting. One of the women, Shannon Lowney, was to be married later that year. | |
| Emerson Hart – Green Hills Race For California Lyrics | 18 years ago |

love this song! i always took the lyrics to be direct meaning of he stayed awhile in another state/country (perhaps going to an out-of-state college?) and has to return home to california leaving behind a loved one/friends/place he loves. Anyone know of a deeper meaning? a few corrections to the lyrics.... Oh my dear *What a race we have run* Oh my sweet What a phase we will become How do I go back to California? How do I leave the green fields here? Warm nights in your sweet magnolia How do i leave the green fields here? Oh my friends *What a long trip it's been* Many nights and the friends that we have made How do I go back to California? How do I leave the tall trees here? Warm nights in your sweet magnolia how do I leave the green fields? How do I go back to California? How Do i Leave the green fields here? Warm nights in your sweet magnolia How do I leave the green Fields? |
