what i have to say after reading all these interpretations is a quote from the play Julius Caesar by Shakespeare, ""..Men may construe things after their fashion, Clean from the purpose of the things themselves." which means simply that Mankind tends to interpret things however it best suits them and totally miss the actual meaning of things themselves. when interpreting music, your life, experiences, knowledge, mood, relationships, friendships, etc. are all factors of what you take out of the song. but sometimes songs have more than one meaning, sometimes writers/artists write their song so it means too things, one thats a basic interpretation of the words to appeal the target audience it sells. like songs about love and relationships are great hits with todays youth, but behind the words are something much broader. things that only the artist truly knows are there |
