I can relate to that, I also became really infatuated with a girl from a music festival (Woodford Folk Festival). This song makes perfect sense for the situation I was in. i first heard this song on victorias secret and when seal was singing it, it also makes sense that he's singing it about the models... and more so his wife, Heidi Klum. and the song talks about how hard it was for Heidi to get to the top, and now that she is at the top, everyone says she's amazing even though they may have doubted her before. and seal is saying that he is a real friend and he knows what she's been through. another take is that everyone says that the models are amazing, even though they have no knowledge about what their life was like growing up and what trauma's they've suffered "Only you know who the real ones are cause you’ve seen". but the drugs thing makes a lot of sense too that was just my take on it |

this song seemingly enough reminds me of my childhood. no particularly reason why. i think the reference of an old oak tree must remind me of the days where my friends and I would venture down the creek and swing on trees and such. p.s the new album is soooo good i love mae in all forms. each of the 3 albums is great and the B-sides album also is a hit in my books The best song on Singularity is either Crazy 8s or Last Transmission II |

I particularly love the line "You can get all the love you that need once you give it away" this makes so much sense its not funny I realised recently how much love i was putting out into the world. I realised this when i told someone how amazing i thought their singing voice is, and when i told someone what an absolute pleasure it is to work with them. This was when i realised that I had all of this love coming back to me. And so this lyric is very clear. Give love away, and it'll come right back to you in such a wonderful way |
