to me this is about growing up. and when you grow up you need to leave people behind sometimes. and it sucks like no other. but i do luv this song. it shows that fergie is more than just fergilicious...lol probobly didn't spell that right...and i luv her songs but i luv even more that she's really putting herself out there with her lyrics. |

ok so i know this is a cover, but i think it's just soo much better! like my favorite line of this song is After my picture fades and darkness has turned to gray Watching through windows, you're wondering if I'm ok i know cyndi lauper wrote it, but when she sings it the line just gets lost in the song you know? but they really belt it out. and it's such a great line i mean you've gotta do that. plus i luv how this isn't such a sad song anymore. when cyndi sings it i want to cry but when they sing it i just feel better like someones looking out for me...random i know. |

what i luv about this song is that it's a song everyone can relate to. and even if how you see it isn't how they saw it when they wrote it, then it's still giving you amazing memories just like the ones talked about in the song. like "All the nights we stayed up talking And listening to 80's songs Quoting lines from all those movies that we love." this is pretty much how me and one of my friends spent our freshmen year. and just thinking about it sparks all these amzing memories of otterpops, and sleepovers, and just everything we did together. another one is "The black top's singing me to sleep" is another reminder of colorguard practace late at night in the parking lot at my school. I always get so tired, and when the band is playing the ballad i'de fall asleep if i wasn't throwing a flag around. like i said, this song is so amazing because it just gives you memories. like my parents could listen to it and relate to all there summers when they younger. it makes a good conversation starter. |

omg i luv this song! my friend did a dance to it @ her dance recital, it was the coolest thing i'de ever seen! i really think this is a peace song. like we should go march on washington with it or something...its like when you're forced to be with someone during war. ur with ur group (i don't know what its called). I've got one friend laying across from me I did not choose him he did not choose me we've got no chance of recovery joy and hospital joy and misery and u are forced to be with them. u share all these joys together. but like in vietnam when half the people there didn't want to be there. So they want to put out the fire.... oh lordy my thoughts don't make sense when i write them out... |
