As many of you have stated, this song is full of religious references. The line about the "circus tiger" is a direct reference to the book "Life of Pi". The book takes place in three parts, and deals heavily with religion in one of them, as Pi (the main character) follows three different religions by the age of 14: Hinduism, Christianity, and Islam. In another part of the book, he is stranded on a boat in the middle of the ocean for 227 days with a circus tiger. i have no idea what this song means...though i like some of your interpretations, but manna is definitly not referring to an actual drug. it's a metaphor. as for "my teeth ripping out of my head" he's referring to a very big smile. |
