This song is kinda self-explanatory, but the part that hits me the hardest is "Jesus Jesus there are those that say they love You, but they have treated me so God Damn MEAN". I feel the exact same way in my struggles with the church. I adore this song. |

I LOVE this... I think this is about figuring out a relationship right in the midst of some tough times. Perhaps someone lost a previous love or lost a family member. I feel like this song is about being vulnerable "Who wouldn't fear to leave it all?" But in the end, being with that person is worth it no matter what kind of hurt you're going through. "Fuck was I supposed to do?"...like what else can I do when you're right there, when you're right, when I know I've got to be ready now or never. |

"My heart is pumping my blood, your hearts not beating at all In a way it makes sense that it isn't, it just never was" Honestly one of the most heart-wrenching lyrics on the album..maybe just because I really relate to it. I love this song, it's so beautiful lyrically. And it's simplistic nature is a great contrast to the melancholy feeling that resounds from it. |

Yeah I agree with the above. "I arrived without shoes". Andy is kinda saying, that we arrive without a bearing on our feet...and then with the "noose" image.. we still have no bearing beneath us. No matter what you believe, it has to all end eventually. That's the ONLY truth. |

I relate to this song in the sense that I feel like perhaps an unequally-yoked or just a non-God-focused relationship can really end up screwing someone over or leave them feeling "abandoned". In a sense, when Bryce sings "Faith, welcome back / it's been awhile since we hung out / have you come to get me back on track?" its as if someone's walk with Christ can only prosper and return to its original state once someone fights the abandonment and turns back to Him. |
