| Lucinda Williams – Unsuffer Me Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I think this song is about a relationship that left you bad, that made you suffer. And she's kinda saying to the next person, "anoint my head with your sweet kiss" and wash away the bad that that person has done to me. "Unsuffer me" I think this is a very pretty song, dark, but pretty. | |

| I *love* this song. I'm sure the Stones version is great, but I prefer the Lucinda Williams/Elvis Costello version. Very great lyrics, no matter who it's sung by. | |

| Lucinda Williams – Right in Time Lyrics | 18 years ago |

I was so excited when I heard this song on The L Word! I love Lucinda, she's my favorite!!! I think this song is so beautiful and simple. Just meeting someone and connecting, coming together, in a way where you just move right in time with each other. I don't understand the verses though, they're so sad. I guess in the chorus she is maybe reminiscing (sp?) about how they used to move right in time with each other. Anyways, it's beautiful. |

| Ben Folds – Bruised Lyrics | 18 years ago |

Let me start out by saying, I LOVE THIS SONG... Okay.. I was thinking about the line I went because you said you'd be there a box of candy, smoke in your hair when I didn't know I didn't care but now I know, love just leaves you bruised and I've always taken it to be just what it said... a guy goes to a bar or something to meet a girl, brings her chocolate.. blah.... but I was thinking, maybe it's more than that. Like, I was friends with this girl but I knew she was emotionally unavailable, so I didn't "let myself fall" for her... but then she started flirting with me and the next thing I knew, bam, I had fallen. So it's like... "I went because you said you'd be there" means "I let myself fall for you because you said you'd catch me." And the line "box of chocolates" could mean you went into it (bar/relationship) thinking that it would be a box of chocolates and what you got was "smoke in your hair"... See where I'm going with this? |
